Hourly Paid Specialist Learning Advisor

We require a Specialist Learning Advisor to join our highly successful Additional Learning Support team. This is an hourly paid position.

The team provides a range of support for learners with a learning difficulty or disability, to enable them to access the educational opportunities offered by the College. 

You will be required to support and teach learners on a one to one basis out of class with additional needs at our campuses based in Watford and Hemel Hempstead. You will also assist staff to understand and meet their needs.

The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a team and have the aptitude to work independently and unsupervised when required.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to keep accurate records. A post graduate qualification in teaching learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties to level 5 is essential.

An understanding of the specific educational needs of learners within an FE and HE setting is desirable, with a proven enthusiasm for this area of work essential.
