Part Time:                  37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary:                        £19,676 to £24,203 per annum 

Fixed Term:                12 months

An opportunity has arisen for self-motivated individual to join our team at Central Bedfordshire College.

Working alongside a team of welfare advisors you will be responsible for providing impartial and pastoral advice to students and prospective students in relation to student welfare.

Main purpose of the role:

  • Identify and alleviate safeguarding and welfare barriers to enable students to commence, continue and complete their education.
  • Ensure that all learners and internal and external customers receive excellent safeguarding and welfare support to meet their needs
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in working with vulnerable young people and adults

The successful candidates must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of current office software packages. They must be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise their workload and be able to use their own initiative.  They must be flexible and a team player. They should be adaptable, able to deal with more than one task at a time and enjoy working in a busy environment. They must be committed to working as part of a multifunctional team and provide cover and support within the Student Services Department as required across all sites.
