An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Business for a Lecturer of Law to teach across A Levels and BTEC and Foundation Degree courses.

We are looking for a Law Lecturer who is enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives and careers of our learners.

The successful candidates must have the capacity and ability to manage the progress of learners across all levels and support their pastoral needs, whilst monitoring course specific KPI’s.  You will join a vibrant and high-performing team, teaching across a range of Law programmes levels 1 – 4 and on A Levels. Knowledge, understanding and experience of Pearson BTEC NQF qualifications, exams and assessments is desirable, including experience in the subject areas of online business, finance, and branding.

The team and our learners already benefit from excellent links with local employers but any opportunity to further these links is always welcomed.

Candidates must have the below skills/qualifications:

•Qualified to degree level

•Extremely well organised and able to handle several modules at the same time

•Driven and enthusiastic about the subject with an innovative approach to learning and teaching

•Have an assured and persuasive communication style

•Industry experience would be desirable due to practical modules involved in the teaching certain modules: Advocacy and Legal Drafting

•Teaching experience and relevant qualifications are desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills. We offer a supportive culture which offers excellent CPD opportunities

You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching. You should also be committed to providing prompt, detailed assessment of learners work with experience of personal tutoring including target setting.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours a week working in our well-equipped facilities at our Watford and Hemel campuses.
