E4685 Base: Broomfield Hall We are looking for a highly motivated Trainer/Assessor in Animal Care with a wide knowledge of the Animal Care industry. The Derby College Animal Care unit is a very busy, forward thinking centre and the team are ambitious and proud of their achievements and work environment.
You will perform the role of trainer/assessor, delivering practical sessions on the animal unit, mainly to ensure achievement of qualifications for students. You will be expected to contribute to maintain above average success rates in this area, using innovation within your teaching and assessing.
Whilst we have guided working hours, as in all animal related jobs, the day finishes when all the duties are done, and not when the finishing time comes around, therefore a willingness to work flexibly is required. You should be organised and have excellent interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team. Your primary focus will be supporting and inspiring young people who are at the beginning of their work journey.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners and will be flexible, self-motivated and dedicated to student achievement and quality. Up to date knowledge and experience of Animal Care is essential.
