Special Needs Assistant - Year 4Staring ASAPIpswich, SuffolkFull Time, long-term contractHRGO Education are recruiting for a SEN TA to work on a 1:1 basis at a Primary School in Ipswich, Suffolk. .This is a full time position working with a Year 4 child who has SEMH needs. The school are looking to fill this position ASAP due to being given additional funding for the student. This role will require the successful candidate to be calm, understanding and patient with the student, whilst supporting their learning both in the classroom and in a 1:1 environment (sensory room, library etc.)As an SEN TA, you'll typically need to:Follow instructions from Teachers to support effectively in the classroomAdhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policiesSupport the student on 1:1 basis, adapting your approach on a case-by-case basis to engage students effectively. Some children might need support with personal care.Help children with learning and development Pay & Working HoursSeasonal or relief teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £10.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only. Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. There are also part-time, casual and job share options available.All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
