Basis: Full and part time hours available, permanent. 9.4 positions available.

Salary: £22,265 - £23,646 (A24 - A28) per annum (pro-rata if part time)

We are excited to be recruiting to a brand new team of Progress Coaches who will work with our curriculum and teaching staff to deliver high quality tutorial and pastoral care.  As a Progress Coach, you will provide dedicated support to our students, to ensure they all make effective progress with their studies and develop the skills they need to be successful in their future lives. 

You will play a key role in helping the College to achieve ‘outstanding’ levels of student retention and achievement by tracking and monitoring learner’s progress and attendance, co-ordinating and delivering our personal development activities and our ‘BeReady’ programme.  You will also help students with any initial wellbeing concerns, signposting them to appropriate support and working with our college specialist services to help them overcome any barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. 

You’ll be educated to Level 3 or above, including Level 2 Maths & English with strong coaching and mentoring skills as well as a real passion for inspiring young people.  Highly organised with an ability to prioritise and multi-task as required.  You’ll have confidence to deliver training combined with outstanding communication skills, and effective digital skills. Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience within the education sector and/or knowledge of vocational sectors is desirable.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
