Where you’ll work: This role is based at the College’s Dartford campus.


Your hours: Both Full-time (37 hours per week) and Part-time (29.6 hours per week - 0.8 FTE), 52 weeks per annum applications will be considered for this role


Your pay: Spine Points 32 (£30,280 full time equivalent) to 37 (£35,104 full time equivalent), rising to a ceiling of Spine Point 39 (£37,251 full time equivalent) with a full teaching qualification.


Working within North Kent College’s Design and MGA curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in 3D Design.


You’ll be required to prepare, teach and assess at a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies.


You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area including, but not limited to, proficiency using CAD SketchUp (and or Fusion 360 / AutoCAD), paired with displaying drawing and mark-making ability (Architectural / Product), alongside proficient visual communication skills and practical/hands on model-making skills. 


Experience in the Adobe Suite, preferablly Illustrator and Photoshop, alongside a high level of understanding around design application are also essential for the role (Industrial, Product, Architectural, Interior).


This in which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge.


We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.


Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn’t essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn’t required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.
