Lecturer in Maths
Within the range of £23,916 to £36,168 per annum (2.5% pay award pending for August 2022)
35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver on a range of maths qualifications.
Most full-time learners will study mathematics alongside their vocational programme. Learners will work towards achieving a minimum grade 4 in GCSE maths whilst studying at Suffolk New College. We currently offer two different routes to allow our learners to progress and achieve in mathematics.
Additionally, we offer part time adult functional skills maths classes. Our provision takes place across our campuses, with some evening sessions and online sessions.
You will have a passion for engaging and motivating young adults, demonstrating innovation and best teaching practice to provide an exceptional experience. You will be able to plan and assess effectively to meet the needs of your learners to enable them to achieve their full potential.
Suffolk New College can provide relevant teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential to become effective teachers.
You should have a degree in maths or a related degree or a Level 5 qualification in teaching maths along with a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified period.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Rural campus. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
