Teaching Assistant, PrimaryStarting ASAPBury St Edmunds, SuffolkFull TimeHRGO Education are recruiting for a Classroom Teaching Assistant and 1:1 LSA to at a Primary School in Bury St Edmunds starting ASAP. This role is a combination of classroom/teacher support and 1:1 SEN support, meaning you will be working in both large groups and on a 1:1 basis throughout the day. This role will require you to support the class teacher with daily activities, support the children in the class, provide literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups and work with children in a 1:1 capacity (these children may have behaviour or SEN). As an Classroom and SEN TA, you'll typically need to:Follow instructions from Teachers to support effectively in the classroomAdhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policiesSupport the student on 1:1 basis, adapting your approach on a case-by-case basis to engage students effectively. Some children might need support with personal care.Help children with learning and development Pay & Working HoursSeasonal or relief teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £10.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only. Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. There are also part-time, casual and job share options available.All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
