Lecturer in Plumbing (Apprenticeships)

35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Do you have experience or an ambition to pass on your knowledge of plumbing to learners, as part of the role you will be expected to design schemes of work, conduct high-quality lessons, set, assess, and provide feedback to students? We are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Plumbing no teaching qualification is required but must be willing to work towards and gain relevant teaching qualifications which will be sponsored and supported by the college.

This role involves you delivering the Leve 3 plumbing course to a group of apprentices. You will be required to set work, assess, and grade submissions in line with awarding body criteria and requirements. This is the opportunity to own your course and look for opportunities to develop the learning experience and introduce additional learning interventions. You must help your learners meet awarding body requirements for qualifications. You must do all you can to meet or exceed College success rate targets. You need to aspire to achieve outstanding results in the subjects you are delivering.

In August 2021, Highbury College and Portsmouth College merged to form the City of Portsmouth College. The new organisation is a general further education college in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.

It provides vocational and academic education and training, from first-step courses to university level foundation degrees, specialised services for business and education in the community.
