CASUAL LECTURERS IN MATHS – SKILLS FOR LIFE DEPARTMENT

Hours: Casual

Salary: £25.89 or £29.00 per hour (dependant on qualifications)

As an award winning college, we are always looking for exceptional staff to help us to fulfil our ambitions. Providing aspirational teaching is vital to inspiring the next generation in industry.

 

As such, we are looking for a pool of part time lecturers on a variable hours basis to join our Skills for Life team in the delivery of Maths to a range of students taking vocational qualifications. You will mainly deliver Functional Skills or GCSE to a variety of different sized groups and should have relevant teaching experience in Skills for Life and possess the following qualifications:

 

Ø Level 2 Literacy qualification & Numeracy qualification

Ø Level 3 Numeracy qualification / equivalent or above

Ø Level 4 / 5 Subject Specialist qualification in Numeracy or willingness to achieve

Ø DTLLS/ PGCE or willingness to achieve

 

The ability to communicate, motivate and understand the needs of young learners is essential. A good knowledge of learning disabilities and/or difficulties is desirable.
