We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our well-established team in Oxford or Reading college.
This role will be responsible for delivering a proactive, commercially aware financial management support service to partners within Further Education and Group Service Divisions. You will include support division leadership teams in achieving their financial and business targets, prepare monthly management reports and carry out financial analysis to summarise performance and recommend areas for improvement.
To support the business planning process you will focus on key areas of risk, ensuring group objectives and deadlines for budget setting are met and set up processes to streamline areas where required and support changes when necessary.
This is a full time role at 37 hours per week, based predominantly at our Oxford or Reading campus with occasional travel to other sites. There is additional flexibility around location for the right candidate.
We support a hybrid working model for this role, with 2 or 3 days working in the office and the rest from home. Since there is flexibility around the location and arrangement of the working hours for the right candidate, you should specify any preferences on your application form to be discussed further at interview.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience. You will have the ability to develop staff as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You should be confident and adept in analysing, interpreting and managing data using a variety of IT systems, including Microsoft Excel.
Successful candidates will be creative problem solvers with the ability to establish and improve financial and administrative systems. Experience within education is not a necessity, but would be desirable.
