We are looking for a candidate that has experience of working with young people with learning difficulties or disabilities and an awareness of diverse learner needs.
This role oversees the provision of Additional Learning Support for a cohort of SEND students from the transition into the setting, while on programme and to their post-college destination. This will include assessing new students support needs, reviewing progress and working collaboratively with support and teaching staff to ensure their needs are met on programme. Where students have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) this role would be involved completion of all aspects of the EHCP process including contributing to consultations and carrying out annual reviews to ensure statutory timelines are met.
The successful candidate will need to be qualified to Level 4 in a relevant SEND area or discipline, as well as a Level 2 qualification in Learning Support or equivalent and Level 2 English and Math.
