Job Title: Lecturer - Business and Computing

Location: East London

Hours: 18 Hours, 52 weeks per year

Salary range: Unqualified £25,484 - £28,440, Qualified £30,055 - £39,735 (pro rata)

This position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly enthused Business and IT lecturer and to assist in taking the area forward to outstanding.

You will need to have the experience and knowledge to teach on all levels within the Business department level 1 – 3 and have the skills to deliver and Lead our Access to HE Computing programme.  You will therefore hold a degree in Computing, have a teaching qualification, and have associated experience of delivering a range of Computing specialisms at Access to HE and potentially at HE level.

You will be able to support and inspire learners aged 14-18 and 19+ supporting their achievement and progression onto higher level courses or into employment.

The successful candidate will need to have recent experience of teaching and be able to demonstrate good /outstanding in recent lesson observations. They will need to teach and assess on all levels within the Business department (to include a range of Computing specialisms, alongside Business) using a varied range of teaching and learning methodologies and techniques.

The successful candidate will have experience of meeting the needs of learners, to include both 16-18 years old and adults, be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate outstanding relationships with external partners and employers.  They will have excellent organisational skills, be familiar with awarding body standards and procedures, and able to maintain outstanding quality assurance.
