College location:          East Surrey College , Redhill

Pay rate:                       £25,186-£35,847 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours:                           Full Time (5 days a week, 37 hours)


We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturer to deliver teaching and learning on our BTEC Health & Social Care course across levels 2-3, and on our BTEC Early Years Level 2 course


Working closely with the Head of Department and the rest of the team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, support students to attain suitable work placements, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.


The successful candidate must have:

  • A teaching qualification (ideally at Level 5)
  • A minimum of level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (though a degree in Health & Social Care or Nursing would be highly desired)
  • Experience working within the Health & Social Care industry, i.e as a social worker
  • Previous experience teaching at BTEC Level 2-3 across Health & Social Care, and Level 2 Childcare
  • Experience in working with CACHE & Pearson BTEC
