Life Skills Lecturer (Students with special educational needs and disabilities) - Inclusive Learning Department - 18 hours per week - Permanent Hertford Regional College - Ware Campus
We are seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Life Skills who will be responsible for delivering life skills in the Department of Inclusive Learning, teaching young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
You will report directly to the Curriculum Area Manager and be responsible for delivering life skills across our provision, incorporating key curriculum areas of intent. This will include:
- The development of effective communication skills and increased self-confidence that will lead to improved wellbeing.
- The development of independent living skills that our young people need to make a successful transition into adult life.
- The development of vocational/work skills that will form the stepping-stones to employment and/or supported employment.
- Community Inclusion to ensure young people are active and safely engaged in their communities.
- The development of health and wellbeing awareness across our provision, supporting young people to make healthy choices that will result in good health outcomes
This post may also include integrated and dedicated Entry Level Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) throughout the curriculum. Who are we looking for?
