Lecturer in Uniformed Public Services

Are you passionate about supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of learners across a wide range of subject areas?

We are looking for a full-time permanent Uniformed Public Services and Criminology lecturer to join the School of Public Service, Humanities and Leisure.

You’ll ideally have experience teaching Levels 1-3 vocational qualifications in uniformed public services. You should have a full teaching qualification, relevant teaching experiences and current CPD updating within the industry/sector. For the exceptional candidate coming into teaching from the commercial sector with extensive knowledge, full training can be given to support qualification as a teacher within 2 years.

Within your role you are expected to plan, deliver, assess and quality-assure a range of subjects, whilst supporting students through their study programme as their personal tutor through English, math, work experience, industry placement and enrichment. You will be confident in working with parents and other agencies to support learners to succeed. You will also be working with The Volunteer Police Cadets, supporting our students to volunteer their services within the local borough of Newham as a Cadet.
