We are looking for an English Teacher with a genuine passion for the subject to join our dedicated and hard-working teaching team, based at our Reading & Bracknell campus. This role will predominately involve teaching GCSE English Language within our Academic and Professional Studies faculty for up to 14 hours per week on a casual contract basis.
We are looking to speak to individuals who can deliver English teaching on a flexible basis, and support where needed in daytime and evenings depending on scheduled timetable. What do you need to be successful in this role?
Successful applicants will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree, experience teaching GCSE English is essential.
Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification. Unqualified candidates would start at a lower salary point and this could be discussed at interview, if successfully shortlisted.
In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
