School Caretaker

CERT Solutions are looking for a Building Services Assistant / School Caretaker to start on Friday 23rd September. This role will be covering someone who will be going on long term sick. The school is based in Birmingham which has easy to access to public transport. The role will involve the following: Security of the school s buildings and grounds Deputise for key holder as necessary Operation of the school s heating plant General porterage duties including movement of furniture and equipment within the school Handyperson duties which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures and non-specialist decorating tasks Periodic cleaning of grounds, including upkeep of planted areas Deputise for the Site Managers when required The successful candidate will have responsibility for specific tasks, but can expect to assist the Site Managers in the full range of caretaker duties and anywhere in the school if required by operational needs including outdoors such as repairs and security checks in wet weather.
