About the role:

Our Learning Support Coordinators process the data and administrative tasks needed to support the work of the Group Learning Support (GLS) team with our students, and are a  vital role in making sure they can deliver the best service possible.

Group Learning Support works with young people who face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs and those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). These posts provide an excellent opportunity for someone with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students and providing the administrative support needed in order to ensure that they can achieve.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process data to support staff to manage the learner journey and contribute towards quality improvement activities
  • Input and track funding data through college systems
  • General administrative tasks including processing invoices and booking assessments

Full time position: 37 hours a week, 08:30 – 17:00, with a 16:30 finish on a Friday.

Part time position: 25 hours ideally over 5 five days, however, negotiable for the right candidate.

What do you need to be a successful Learning Support Coordinator at Activate Learning?

The ideal candidate will be resilient, solutions focused and able to multitask. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised and have good attention to detail. You will also possess the ability to respond to change positively.

We are looking for someone with administration experience, and previous experience of processing large amounts of data with great accuracy is desirable. A background in education and knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities would be an advantage.

  • Strong IT user particularly pivot tables and spreadsheet formulas
  • Experience working in an administration environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
