About the role:
Activate Learning are looking for a Transition and Retention Adviser to join our Student Support team at our Reading campus.
The postholder will predominantly support our Looked after Children (Children we Care for), Young Carers, Care leavers and learners who require transition support and liaise with internal and external services to ensure they are supported throughout their learner journey to achieve positive destinations and stay on programme.
They will work alongside a strong team of likeminded individuals in the wider Student Support team including the College Counsellor and Nurse who all share a passion for seeing these barriers overcome and young people progress into employment or higher education.
This is a permanent, full-time role with the potential to earn up to £26,221 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
What do you need to be a successful Transition and Retention Adviser at Activate Learning?
We're looking for candidates with experience of working with young or vulnerable adults and knowledge of the issues that present as barriers to participation in education.
You will be an excellent communicator, with a creative approach to achieving engagement and participation, and be able to collaborate across a large organization to improve outcomes for our learners.
