About the role:

Activate Learning HR Team are currently looking to recruit an HR Advisor to support with forward thinking and a positive advisory service across the group with Employee Relations, Wellbeing and building a strong people and coaching culture, where trust and productivity are at the forefront of our behaviours. 

The HR department is a broad collaborative team comprising of Talent, Learning & Development, D&I, HRIS, Reward, HR Services and Business Partnering.

Working in partnership with key stakeholders across the business area, you will deliver a proactive generalist HR support and advice service across our colleges. You will be responsible for coaching, supporting and guiding managers through all aspects of employee relations, escalating where necessary to the HR Business Partner with whom you will work closely on more complex issues.

While this is a full time position, we would consider part time/flexible working hours for the right applicant. Please specify any preference for this in your application so it can be discussed further at interview.

What do you need to be a successful HR Advisor at Activate Learning?

You must have experience and confident in managing your own ER caseload including awareness of absence management, conduct, grievance, capability. As such excellent communication skills, collaborative team worker and build relationships quickly, providing technical expertise and driving positive outcomes are key to this role. 

We're looking for the ability to demonstrate drive and self-motivation as well as a strong work ethic. You will be comfortable working with data and using this to support hiring managers make informed decisions and have the ability to consult, influence and communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally on both straightforward and at times complex or contentious staffing issues.
