This person will be responsible for delivering a finance business partnering service to the College under the guidance of the Senior Accountant. You will prepare, review and analyse financial information and reports every month. You will work closely with budget holders, helping them to understand, monitor and plan their budgets. The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing monthly spending against budget, investigating variances, and identifying corrective actions. You will also be accountable for forecasting income, pay and non-pay and will participate in the other financial planning exercises throughout the year. The role is integral to improving the financial management and performance of the College.
You will be a Part/ Qualified accountant with three years of relevant experience in a busy finance environment. You will be used to contributing to strategic and operational plans and have significant experience in producing management accounts, variance analysis and financial reporting, including writing draft commentaries. You will have an inquisitive mind, with good attention to detail and used to working to tight deadlines. You will be a team player, ready to help colleagues to achieve the departmental goals.
