Engineering Apprenticeship Lecturer/Tutor

(39 hours per week/52 weeks per year)


As we look to expand, we are now in an exciting position to recruit an Engineering Apprenticeship Lecturer to join our innovative, enthusiastic and dedicated team based on Pride Park, Derby.

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic tutor who has experience in delivering General Engineering within the apprenticeship provision.

We have high aspirations for what we want to achieve with our students and employers and we intend to do this by delivering a range of exceptional industry led engineering specialisms from level 2 to 3.


We are looking for someone that has experience in either a fabrication, mechanical or maintenance engineering and experience of teaching apprentices. The successful candidate must have relevant industry knowledge to deliver some of the following units


Engineering Manufacturing Techniques

Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials

Maintenance of pneumatic systems

Engineering Organisational Efficiency and Improvement

Communications for Engineering Technicians

Some basic knowledge around fabrication, machining and maintenance


This role will be predominantly class based but you will be given flexibility to utilise the equipment that we have in center to provide the best service for our learners


Candidates are required to have teaching certificate or are committed to work towards one.
