About the role:

Activate Learning has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher to join our teaching team based at Banbury and Bicester College.

The Art & Design Teacher will deliver Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive whom is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential, develop their attributes and become lifelong learners. This is a part time role working 30 hours per week (0.81 FTE).

What do you need to be an Art and Design Teacher at Activate Learning?

As the Art & Design Teacher, you will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree, preferably with a fine art base, recent teaching experience in an FE environment, and a working knowledge of UAL Art & Design programmes.

Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification.

The ideal candidate:

  • You will have a proven track record of managing and tutoring student groups
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully support student progression onto higher education or into the workplace
  • An open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools
  • Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners
