BSL (British Sign Language) Trained Teaching Assistant for a SEND

BSL (British Sign Language) Trained Teaching Assistant Position Specialist SEND School in Preston (PR2) This role is to start ASAP or in January 2023 and is a full time position, working Monday Friday from 08:30-15:30. The school is a fantastic school that caters for children aged 11-18 with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties as well as communicative and physical difficulties. It is an expanding school that is expanding in size to provide its excellent level of support to more children and young people. The school is based upon values which include the belief that every child should have the opportunity to learn and experience new challenges in a highly supportive environment through delivering a highly personalised and supportive curriculum that promotes and teaches basic life skills. It is brilliantly run, and staff are friendly and welcoming and was rated GOOD at it s most recent OFSTED inspection. The school is looking for a strong BSL Trained Teaching Assistant with a great work ethic and fantastic communication skills to come and work on a full time, permanent basis with children with communication difficulties in the school. The school are hoping to trial and interview prospective staff as soon as possible for a January 2023 start(or earlier if preferred). Trial days are paid and if successful staff will be able to commence working from their earliest preferred date. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have: BSL L3. Experience with SEND. Great communication skills. The initiative, ability and desire to creatively support students in lessons. The ability to build great relationships with the staff and pupils. A great work ethic.
