London South East Colleges is part of London & South East Education Group, a social enterprise which goes beyond simply delivering education. With a turnover of circa 65m and ambitious plans for growth, there has never been a better time to join us.

London South East Colleges is a successful, award winning College with campuses in Bromley, Bexley, Orpington and Greenwich. In 2021 we were recognised nationally, by the TES as FE Provider of the Year and FE College of the Year. We also received the Contribution to the Local Community Award.

With nearly 14,000 students and 1,000 members of staff, we are a major employer in the south east. We pride ourselves on making a significant impact on the lives and future prospects of all our learners who travel from across London to study with us.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Brickwork Lecturer. You will have demonstrable experience of delivering Brickwork programmes.

You will also have strong knowledge and understanding of programme planning and delivery, teaching and learning approaches and assessment strategies. You will hold a teaching qualification, have an enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning, and be committed to putting the student first.

You must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Most importantly, you must be able to engage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Our benefits package includes 43 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) plus 3 closure days during Christmas, up to 2 additional College closure days, plus leave for volunteering (pro rata for part time staff).

We have excellent pension schemes, including employer contributions, Teachers' Pension Scheme, Local Government Pension Scheme or Nest. Staff also have access to:

  • salary sacrifice
  • cycle to work/ bike loan scheme
  • an annual season ticket loan
  • an onsite gym at our campus in Bromley, staff discounts in in-house restaurants and hair and beauty treatments.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children's Barred List check if in regulated activity. Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College. Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process. If you fail to make a full disclosure or provide sight of your DBS certificate then your offer of employment is likely to be withdrawn. The College's DBS policy covers the recruitment of ex-offenders which is available upon request.
