Teacher of Psychology and Criminology

  • Commencing February 2023
  • Part Time – Up to 0.6 FTE*
  • Maternity Cover Contract – Ending July 2023

We are looking for a teacher who will inspire and enthuse our Year 12 Criminology and Psychology students and help them develop a genuine interest in the subject.  We want teachers who are driven and determined to make a positive difference.  We expect teachers to use their pedagogical skills to ensure lessons are enjoyable and engaging whilst supporting our students to achieve the best possible grades, that enable them to progress on to their chosen destination. 

You will have the privilege, and challenge, of working in an exclusively A Level Sixth Form College with students that enjoy learning and have a determination to do well in their academic studies.

Abbeygate Sixth Form College is part of the Suffolk Academies Trust, working closely with One Sixth Form College and West Suffolk College. Abbeygate opened in 2019, with a Year 12 cohort only; in September 2020 we moved into our brand new state of the art building, accommodating both Year 12 and 13. We offer a broad and balanced A Level curriculum, with a wide range of activities and opportunities to enrich and extend students’ experience to develop well-rounded individuals with the essential skills required for their future studies and careers.
