Lecturer / Course Manager - Academy of Land and Environment – Fisheries Management

Salary: £25,838 - £29,504 (L6 – L9) per annum 

Hours:  37 hours per week  

Status: Permanent 


Reaseheath College is regarded as a leading provider of land - based education in the UK and has exceptional links with employers and associated businesses. The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farm, parklands, lake and established woodland.


You will be expected to undertake theory and practical teaching associated with academy requirements including working within our established countryside department. Do you have specialist knowledge of environmental science, countryside science, aquatic science or game management? Then this role could be for you.


As a course manager, you will manage student cohorts ensuring their academic, pastoral and wellbeing needs are met at all times. Course management will also include accurate monitoring and tracking of student performance. A requirement of the role is to support the quality of provision and work with the college quality department and both internal and external verifiers to ensure full compliance with awarding body regulations.


You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to plan, priorities and manage your workload efficiently and effectively. Excellent IT, teamwork and communication skills as well as attention to detail is needed for this position. As a member of the academy you will consistently role model the college PRIDE values, ensuring that high standards and excellent customer service are evidenced at all times. There will be a requirement to undertake other related activities which contributes towards the high quality, effective and relevant learning experience expected by all academy students. You will be required to work flexibly to support the business and this may involve some evening and weekend work.


Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
