About the role:

We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Applied Criminology Teacher to join our existing team of teachers at City of Oxford College team.

As an Applied Criminology Teacher, you will co-ordinate and deliver purposeful and inspiring lessons to a diverse group of learners. Working in collaboration with the A-Level and Access to HE provision, you will be responsible for the teaching, training and assessment of our students that share an ultimate passion within the subject area.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 24 hours per week at out Oxford Campus.

What do you need to be a successful Applied Criminology Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our learners and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

Whilst previous teaching experience and qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach on our Criminology courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

  • A Level 4 or above qualification in Criminology or related subject is essential
  • It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
