Project Manager (Hartpury Sports Business Hub)

£21,255 per annum based on an FTE salary of £35,426 per annum

22.5 hours per week

(Fixed term 24-month contract ending April 2025)

The Hartpury Sports Business Hub  

As an institution, Hartpury is developing a growing reputation for research and knowledge exchange in Animal, Agriculture, Equestrian Performance, Sport, Exercise Science and Business.

The Hartpury Sports Business Hub (HSBH) is a thriving community of practice that helps connect students to industry opportunities providing services that help local and national organisations develop. We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to support the work of the Hub and the services provided to Gloucestershire businesses.

 

About the Role

  • You will undertake a range of project management activities designed to support organisations via the use of training workshops, consultancy projects and student placements.
  • You will support the Hartpury Sports Business Hub in wider endeavors and play a key role in its development moving forward.
  • You will be contributing to the management of stakeholders, budgeting and general duties required by priority projects.
  • You will explore and create initiatives linked to facility sustainability upskilling staff/volunteers and increasing participation within grassroots sports clubs and community centres in Gloucester City.
  • You will lead on management activity by providing a comprehensive project management service to the Hartpury Sports Business Hub to help achieve the milestones and KPI’s required by projects linked to priority areas.
  • You will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure project support is provided to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • You will carry out analysis and/or critical reports to showcase the impact of the Hartpury Sport Business Hub and its services. You will also provide evaluations using specified and agreed techniques, and document findings.
  • You will manage your own research and administrative activities within guidelines provided by senior colleagues.
  • You will represent the Hartpury Sport Business Hub at external meetings/seminars, either with other members of the group or alone.

 

About You

  • You will be practitioner level trained in a recognised project management methodology
  • You will have proven successful project management experience of managing complex projects within agreed timescales and budget
  • You will have experience managing stakeholders and maintaining effective working relationships
  • You will have the ability to interpret, analyse and present information and formulate clear proposals on the basis of the analysis
  • You will have experience of managing or supervising individuals.
