In 2016 City College Norwich launched the new Information Technology and Computing provision and it has grown healthily over the past 6 years at both our Norwich and Paston Campuses. We are early adopters of the Digital T Level and deliver on 2 routes 'Digital Production Design and Development' and 'Digital Support Services'. We also run the T Level Transitions Digital year alongside the T Level and offer the BTEC Extended Diploma in Computing at Paston College.

Due to this expansion, we are looking to recruit a well-qualified, experienced, and inspirational lecturer to participate fully with the academic team. The successful applicant will bring their Digital knowledge and teaching experience to contribute enthusiastically to the planning, preparation, assessment, and delivery of our Digital courses.

We are looking for applicants who are confident and competent in the teaching of a range of disciplines including IT support, hardware/software installation & build, cable management, digital infrastructure, data management and data analytics, digital security, software development and can use a variety of languages (Python, C++, JavaScript, HTML and SQL for example). This is face to face teaching of 16-19 year olds.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specification/s are met and you will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, motivating, provide high levels of challenge and support progress through ongoing feedback in a variety of forms to ensure that students can achieve their full potential and high grades.

In addition to the planning and teaching of our Digital courses, the successful applicants will use their professional skills and industrial experiences to support our Digital students with developing their employability and transferable soft skills they will need to progress into their chosen employment route, apprenticeship or university course.
