Lecturer in Plumbing

The School of Engineering is looking for a Plumbing Lecturer who can impart their essential skills within both a workshop and classroom environment.

We are looking for someone with excellent practical vocational skills, backed up by the required theoretical knowledge to teach on a range of levels including level 1 to 3, along with part time courses. You must be passionate about the trade and able to prepare our students for the world of work.

Alongside this you will need to keep detailed records and track outcomes using the appropriate college systems.

The ideal candidate will have relevant Level 3 Technical Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent.

Experience of teaching along with an assessor’s qualification or verifier’s qualification would be advantageous; but if you are willing to complete this training, we would still like to hear from you.

This position would be suitable for someone with a flair for passing on their knowledge to others and the enthusiasm to support our learners through their qualifications and apprenticeships.

You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours a week, which may include evening work based at our industry specific facility at our Barnfield campus in Luton.

You’ll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be actively encouraged to upskill.

You can access a wide range of discounts and benefits, free on-site parking, family friendly leave policies including generous maternity and paternity leave.  We offer a generous pension scheme, up to 35 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional time off at Christmas.

The closing date for applications is Friday 14th April 2023.
