Music Teacher - Kendrick School

We are looking for a part time Music Teacher to cover a Maternity leave for end of February 2023 to at least December 2023. 0.5 - 0.6 FTE Flexibility around hours available. Graded Outstanding in its recent OFSTED inspection in November 2022, Kendrick School is a centre of academic excellence with a track record of high performance and achievement. Required for end of February 2023, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher to cover a maternity leave, at this successful 11-18 girls grammar school in Reading. Applicants need to be able to teach Music to at least GSCE level, but preferably to A Level. Pupils love being here. Attendance is high, pupils are punctual, and lessons are free from any low-level disruption Music plays an important role in the life of Kendrick. Approximately 70% of students learn an instrument privately, at school, or with Berkshire Maestros. The result is a large number of students involved in musical activities of one kind or another and of a very high quality, culminating in the almost professional standards of some of the most able students.
