My client is looking for an Innovative Catering Manger to join their network of primary schools in Hackney.

This federation of schools is passionate about children's nutrition as being the entry point to successful teaching and learning.

This is a niche role for an inspired person looking to make a difference - your role is to motivate a team and lead in the delivery of quality food where the key ingredients come from a farm in Essex. My client further expressed that the team is very supportive and there is a genuine buzz about the food we serve there is a pride in delivery.

The role requires someone who is dynamic & passionate about school meal catering and service and has a rich knowledge and understanding of food & nutrition.

Main Duties:

Organisation and Standards

- Plan, operate and control the production and service of school meals and other catering requirements.

- Be responsible for the standards of cleanliness and hygiene of premises and equipment.

- experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and appreciation of different dietary requirements - experience maintaining / ordering food stuffs

Supervision of staff - experience of managing and motivating essential

Efficient use of resources - It is essential that you have a Knowledge of basic food preparation including methods, portions, stock rotation and ordering

Qualifications:

City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 or equivalent catering experience

Relevant Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications
