The School of Foundation and Intermediate Learning and Employability has an excellent opportunity for an inspiring and ambitious individual to take on the role of Sessional Lecturer – ESOL. The key focus of this role is to provide an outstanding teaching and learning experience to our adult learners.
You will teach ESOL across all levels to 19+ learners using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the individual needs of all learners. You will monitor and track learners’ progress through the use of College systems and work collaboratively with the Deputy Head of School in maintaining a high-quality performing provision, taking an active role in quality assurance, assessment, internal verification and class management tasks as required.
We’re looking for someone who has excellent current teaching skills in ESOL – teaching across all levels and working with both adults and teens. We’d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have experience as a personal tutor dealing with pastoral issues. You’ll have current knowledge of curriculum changes and the implications for teaching and learning strategies and have experience working to meet Awarding Organisations’ standards.
A teaching qualification is not essential; however, we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
Closing date for the return of completed applications is 31st March 2023
