Salary: £42,545 - £45,055 per annum

  • Are you passionate about providing the best experience for all students?
  • Keen to work with students, teachers, and employers to provide the knowledge, skills, and behaviours the construction sector needs?

As an award-winning college, we are looking for exceptional people like you to join our team. We truly value our staff who have a key role in supporting and developing our students to achieve their goals. The College was graded as ‘Good’ in October 2019, and we have good financial health. This provides a solid foundation for growth and new developments – an exciting time to join us.

As Head of College Experience, Behaviour and Engagement, you will lead on supporting students to enhance their personal development, behaviour and attitudes to enable them to make strong progress through their studies and beyond.

This will involve the development and implementation of strategies to improve student behaviour, in line with the College’s ‘Behaviour Blueprint’. You will ensure these strategies are consistently applied across the College by providing training and support to the College community. You will lead and undertake student disciplinaries and liaise with parents, carers and employers regarding student behaviour. You will also play a key role in the implementation of strategies to improve and monitor student retention, attendance and performance.

As a member of the College Leadership Team, you will provide leadership to the Equality, Inclusion and Safeguarding Manager and Inclusive Learning Services Manager.

You should have practical experience of implementing successful strategies for improving quality and student experience and be able to demonstrate a student-centered approach to learning, personal development, behaviour and attitudes.  You should also possess the ability to motivate a wide range of students and to manage challenging behaviour, as well as the ability to provide pastoral and general support to students.

In return, you’ll enjoy a friendly and supportive workplace with excellent benefits which includes:

  • A generous 35 day annual leave entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays and 10 college closure days including Christmas.
  • A well-respected pension scheme (Teachers’ Pension Scheme / West Yorkshire Pension Fund)
  • Family friendly policies and opportunities for flexible working
  • Superb opportunities for training and development

So, if you’d like to make a difference and be part of a unique organisation that supports one of the largest and most exciting employment sectors in the UK, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note that all applications should be completed online.  Please visit the vacancies section of our website at www.lcb.ac.uk.   CV’s will not be accepted.

Closing date:  Friday 14th April 2023
