About the role:
You may not have considered a job like this before and you may not have direct experience of teaching or a teaching qualification but what is more important is that you have a passion and enthusiasm for developing and nurturing the next generation of Electrical Installation professionals.
You will be working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment on our level 3 Electrical Installation courses at our Guildford campus.
Our Technology Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in plumbing.
This is a full time, permanent position, based at Guildford college.
Annual salary will be based on working hours, contract type and qualifications and experience.
What do you need to be a successful Electrical Installation teacher at Activate Learning?
The post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience in the electrical installation industry ideally from a blend of domestic and industrial, along with all relevant qualifications, that should include a L3 Electrical Installation NVQ
You will ideally have a minimum of 3 years industry experience and ideally, but not necessarily hold relevant assessor and/or vocational trainer qualifications.
You will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational, and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students acting as a role model throughout.
