This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Communications, Research & External Affairs team focused on delivering insight for action. We support our education team to make curriculum choices and improvements to education delivery and provide statistics, research and insight for bids and stakeholder engagement to evidence the impact of our work.
Its a varied role. You will be asked to:
- Manage the delivery of WEA Impact Survey and accompanying resources;
- Prepare analysis and reports on key policy issues in adult education, and emerging trends in the economy and regions and growing opportunities and challenges for the WEA for a range of stakeholders and purposes;
- Provide and support research and insight to the association such as local education needs analysis, provision bench-marking, results reporting as well as policy consultation and interpretation;
- Manage research activities to support the preparation of funding proposals and evaluation with appropriate staff;
- Develop and maintain effective systematic processes and needs assessment tools to evaluate the delivery of outcomes for accountability purposes;
- Lead research projects and production of high-quality reports, in collaboration with other staff, incorporating questionnaire design and methodology, data analysis, weighting and reporting;
- Keep up to date with external funding accountability measures and impact measurement and work with colleagues to ensure the WEA meets or surpasses those requirements.

As a Research & Impact Manager, you should have:
- A track record of independently managing research projects, working collaboratively with people in other teams;
- Experience of commissioning research from research agencies and managing their delivery to brief;
- Great people skills, with a track record of excellent customer-service and strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders such as media contacts, students or customers;
- A strong team work ethic. We like to collaborate and support each other;
- A passion for adult education, and making a difference!
