The Centre for Health and Social Care Professions’ mission is to produce motivated and competent young professionals ready to work effectively and safely in the modern health and social care environment. To this end our diverse and experienced team deliver a range of Health and Social Care and Science programmes including BTEC Level 1,2 and 3, NCFE Counselling, Gateway Access to Higher Education and the City and Guilds Dental Extended Diploma.
This role is for individuals who have experience in delivering teaching or training in a classroom environment and are looking at furthering their personal development in this area. They will work within a team who have a wide range of related health and social care backgrounds to share their knowledge and skills with the future generation of upcoming professionals. A regular commitment each week is needed to support the timetable of lesson delivery, this could be from a 3 hour commitment a week for a term at a time or more.
All roles will have a nominated mentor/buddy to help them navigate the college, systems and the curriculum. We are looking for enthusiastic team members who have a passion for sharing their industry experience and being creative in their specialist area or subjects as mentioned previously. Supporting the curriculum offer, can be in just one subject area or across many including aspects of; biomedical science, care principles, laboratory techniques, drug calculations and health related charts. Starting off slowly is an option, we can support you by inviting you to join a class to see the structure and participate with a lesson or to deliver a session as a taster or more by being a guest speaker.
