Our accounting team has been recognised by AAT as a leading provider, and we have won and been shortlisted for multiple international AAT awards in the past few years, including medium sized training provider of the year winners and we consistently achieve fantastic feedback from our students and outcomes that are significantly above international averages across all of our provision.
The College itself is one of the leading further education colleges in the North East and continues to be at the forefront of new initiatives, being the only College in the North East to offer all the new T Levels in Early Years, Digital and Construction and will be increasing the T Level offer next year to include Health. The College is also the lead institution for the North East Institute of Technology (NEIoT). It has foundation degree awarding powers and has extensive delivery of European Social Funding (ESF) programmes.

The post holder will join an established and highly successful English Department. Within it they will contribute to the teaching, learning and assessment of English qualifications at New College Durham. Teaching will be largely focused on GCSE but may also include opportunities in Functional Skills and A Level.
