Social, Emotional, Mental Health Mentor (ALS)

Full time, Permanent

Salary - £31,829 - £33,782 per annum

We are looking to recruit a full time, term time only SEMH Mentor to work as part of our Additional Learning Support team.  The post holder will work with young people and adults across the curriculum including those in our discrete SEND provision. 

Our ALS department delivers a range of interventions for both adults and young people to remove barriers to learning, support achievement and to ensure positive progress towards further study or employment. A commitment to working with young people and adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work

As an SEMH mentor you will work in a variety of ways to support learners to manage their behaviour including 1:1 session posts will involve developing student’s communication, independence, employability, and life skills. An interest and commitment to personalised learning, a student-centred approach and experience of working with young people and adults with learning disabilities is essential.  

You will also be required to deliver the curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, communicating effectively with students as appropriate and provide students with appropriate tutorial support in accordance with the programme and individual requirements.
