Develop the Next Generation of Digital Innovators!
This position will be based at our new London campus which is going through an evolution, and from September 2023 will be situated at our brand new, purpose-built and designed 19,000 square feet campus on Commercial Road in London's East End. This campus will be a creative hub for gaming, esports, music, media and computing.
You will lead and inspire the next generation of computing talent through your delivery of the Level 3 T-Level curriculum, and your development of course materials and resources. You will mark and assess learner projects, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our learners with innovative, practical, and employment-led training.
You will collaborate with our other computing teachers across national sites to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will advise and guide your team on teaching and learning strategies.
You will have up-to-date knowledge of software, application and/or games development (Python, React, C#) and knowledge of one or more digital subject areas including networking, cyber security, software testing, and data analysis. Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area and maths and English qualifications at level 2 or above. A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don't have one, we will fund your training and give you appropriate time off from teaching to devote to your studies.
You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills which will help you to effectively manage the course structure and Schemes of Work and to organise internal and external examination/assessment-related administration including the moderation and verification of coursework and internal course assessments.
No candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you!
We are committed to promoting a culture of diversity and inclusivity for all our employees and potential employees. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Diversity and open expression are fundamental to creativity. We believe in the diversity of thought, as that's what helps us help our learners. In recognition of our commitment, we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented, which are those from the black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, people with disabilities, the neurodiverse, and women.
