This Secondary School is based in Southwark, Central London, and it very welcoming and supportive for their new colleagues, has strong SLT team and well organised humanities department. Your new role This role is to start from September, however or NQT it will start earlier. You will be responsible for teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. You might need to cover other humanities subjects if required in colleagues' absence. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom. Proactive attitude is a must to motivate students to perform at their highest capability and ensure all behaviour is always appropriate. As this is a long-term position, you might be required to attend parents' evenings and contribute to other school functions. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and ideally have experience of teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. The school will consider NQT or ECT. You must be available to start as soon as possible and ideally be able to work through to July 2024, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and motivation and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department and student achievement.
