I am urgently recruiting 1-2-1 tutors to work within Bury Local Authority, to work with both Primary and Secondary aged children. The children that you would be working with are often 'looked after' and are experiencing a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties such as Attachment Disorder, and could have experienced severe trauma - some pupils may also have an EHCP with additional needs such as ADHD or Autism. You would usually be required to deliver Maths & English, although often pupils are not working to age-related expectations. Tuition sometimes takes place within the school day, sometimes after school - depending on whether or not the pupil is attending school - An individual assignment could range from a 1 hour session weekly, or 1 -2 hours daily. You can accept as many assignments as your schedule will allow! You would be required to complete weekly attendance/progress reports. Tuition can take place either in the child s residential/Foster Care setting, their school, or a local library. Tuition usually needs to be put in place very quickly, so would not suit anyone working full time who has to work a notice period. You must either be a qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) OR have substantial and recent tuition experience from which we can gain references. You must have an enhanced, child workforce DBS on the update service - we can assist you with a new application if you do not have this. Please apply asap! Affinity Workforce Solutions and Monarch Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its temporary workers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive pre-employment checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity. This vacancy is based in the United Kingdom. Monarch Education operate in the UK and can only process applications from candidates who are currently UK residents and eligible to work in the UK. Whilst we will endeavour to contact you following your response, due to the high volume of applications we regret that this cannot always be possible. If you have not had notification from us within 30 days please take your application as not being successful this time but we will keep your details on file for future opportunities
