Edison Pope are working with a school based in Huddersfield looking to appoint a strong Senior Leader to work within the Behavoural provision based wtihin a mainstream secondary school. The role is full time and the school are looking for an experienced teacher as soon as possible on a temporary to permenent basis. The school are looking for a strong leader who can encourage and enagage pupils within the unit and support them with the every day challenges they face within a school environment. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working with SEMH/ Behavioural pupils and have strong behaviour management to implement strategies to help improve each pupils learning and development. This role will be suitable for anyone who has worked previously in Pupil Referral Units or SEMH schools. The role will heavily involve creating good rapport with students and staff wihtin the provision and will involve working with external agencies to support each indvidual pupils needs. Furthermore; this role will be suited for any teachers looking to gain further experience within Beahvioural units. Not suitable for ECT's The Role Details: Identify students requiring additional support liaise with external providers of alternative provision and monitor the progress of our students who are studying off site deliver lessons to students with low prior attainment or additional needs bring knowledge and experience to work with the Assistant Headteacher to produce schemes of learning and assess students progress towards targets in individual action plans demonstrate a passion and commitment to raise standards and achievement through implementing appropriate interventions for children unable to access mainstream lessons Create Behaviour model to enforce school values. Create strong rapport with students and staff Engage in any extra curricular activies within the school needed to help support students within the provision.
