Head of Support, Student Services & Safeguarding

What is the role?

A key role in the organisation's central curriculum and quality department, either leading on key aspects of the group's strategy for support, student services and safeguarding or acting as an important stakeholder.

The organisation has a network of delivery locations across England where local teams of support staff deliver the support, student services and safeguarding functions. With this in mind, there is an aim to balance central coordination with local ownership - as a result, this role services and supports the needs of local leaders while in equal measure challenges and supports them in the direction of constant improvement.

The post holder provides strategic leadership in the development of inspiring, innovative and collaborative approaches to support, student services and safeguarding that result in students achieving the highest possible outcomes while ensuring that students are safe.

This role ensures that the areas of accountability are supported by effective systems, processes, and accurate data and reporting which leads to robust judgements and ultimately, impacting a continually improving student experience. They support the quality improvement strategy for student support, safeguarding, and student services across the group as it seeks to take the next important steps on its journey to Outstanding.

What will you bring to ACC?

Leadership Qualities: leadership skills and experience in educational management to drive impact.

Educational Experience: supporting a team of staff delivering an outstanding student support, and services function while ensuring students are safe.

Curriculum Area Experience: A passion for student support and services and a strong understanding of the associated opportunities and challenges within an FE setting.

DBS Checks: Enhanced check will be required.
