Deputy Principal
Suffolk New College
Salary: Competitive
Suffolk New College has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Postholder to join the Executive Team as Deputy Principal with a focus on the development of the curriculum and quality.
In November 2022, the College was rated Good by Ofsted across all areas, with an Outstanding for Personal Development. The previous Deputy Principal has recently been appointed as the new Principal/CEO, and the College is now seeking someone to replace them as the lead for the College’s curriculum teams, as we continue on our journey to deliver an ‘Exceptional Student Experience’. As Deputy Principal, you will have an opportunity to be part of the Executive Team contributing to setting the College’s strategic direction and priorities.
The College is a £30m business across multiple campuses, and there are exciting projects that will provide opportunities for innovation. The College is keen to expand provision to engage with learners of different ages, and to have a commercial offer for employers. The College has a strong financial health and is ambitious for the future, but is operating in a challenging sector, and therefore knowledge of FE, and business acumen is essential.
You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of driving quality and leading curriculum developments and apprenticeships. Experience of managing large and complex teams, as well as liaising across all levels both internally and externally are critical skills. We have an excellent foundation as a College, but we would welcome new ideas to continue our drive for improvement and growth.
