Job Title: School Care Worker (SEN) Location: Salisbury Hours: Monday - Friday (Full-time and part-time roles available) We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Care Worker to join a school in Salisbury. As a School Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to students with Special Educational Needs within a school setting. This role will involve assisting with personal care tasks, ensuring the well-being and safety of the students, and promoting their educational and social development. Responsibilities: Provide support to students with SEN, including those with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or sensory impairments. Assist students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines. Support students with mobility and movement, including using mobility aids and assisting with transfers. Monitor and promote the students' well-being and emotional needs, providing comfort and reassurance when necessary. Encourage and assist students with their educational activities, both in the classroom and during individual or group sessions. Implement individualised care plans and educational programs for students, in collaboration with teachers and other professionals. Maintain accurate records of students' progress, achievements, and any incidents or concerns. Collaborate with other members of the school team, including teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student care and development.Qualifications and Requirements: Prior experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably within a school or care setting. Knowledge and understanding of different types of SEN and the specific needs associated with them. Ability to assist with personal care tasks, including lifting and supporting individuals with physical disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and the school team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with SEN. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and guidelines. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
