The Student Support Service provides invaluable support to students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. We have a student orientated culture and put students’ needs at the heart of everything we do.
As our Student Engagement Adviser, you’ll provide comprehensive, responsive, and flexible support in the Student Support Centre, student communal areas and at other sites, around a diverse range of issues as well as supporting programmed enrichment activities.
You will work in close liaison with students, staff, and external organisations to safeguard students and support them in achieving their full potential. You’ll offer holistic support tailored to their needs and engage students within the wider community to college life and the preparation for life in society.
Th Student Engagement Adviser is also a key member of the college safeguarding team, which will include advising others on safeguarding concerns, managing a caseload and ensuring a collaborative approach to safeguarding which will include liaison with external professionals in addition to parents and carers.
The post may require you to work over more than one site.
